A strip wash is a new process and should only be done sparingly as it is a harsh process and can cause the nappies to break down more quickly. This process is a deep clean that washes (strips) out any organic matter (poo!), minerals and/or detergent that has built up in your nappies. A strip wash can help with increasing absorbency and eliminate smelly nappies. A strip wash is also a good thing to do before the nappies are put into storage between babies.If you wash your nappies with the right amount of detergent and a thorough rinse, you will find that you will only have to do this occasionally (if ever). Well, this depends on a few things; are you planning on using cloth nappies part time or full time, how often do you want to wash, what style of nappy you choose and of course, your baby. Most of our customers who use cloth nappies full time wash every second day, so they have about 30 nappies in their collection. This covers 12-14 nappy changes per day, which are required by the average newborn. For older babies, you should have a collection of 15 to 20 nappies if you wash every second day as they average 4 to 6 nappy changes per day. If you don’t get much sunlight or don’t have a tumble drier, we recommend having more nappies in your collection to ensure that they are fully dry before their next use.
All-in-one, all-in-two, pre-fold, boosters, liners, etc. It is easy to become confused and disheartened when you start researching the world of cloth nappies. But, once you start and know what you like and works for your routine, it is much easier to understand.Some families start with only one style of nappy and make it work for them; while others like to have a variety of different nappies in their collection. Research shows that families who have about 5 different styles and/or brands in their nappy collection are more successful at using modern cloth nappies from birth to toilet training. So, we say… Share the love!Each baby and their nappy needs are different which means that the different features of each nappy will appeal differently to their parents. Such reviews, friends or other mums’ opinions are all good resources; however, what works for YOU and your baby is the most important thing.

Of course, you sure can! The earlier you start using cloth nappies the easier it is to build a great routine that works for you and your baby. Keep in mind that on average a newborn uses about 600 nappies in their first six weeks of life; using cloth nappies from the start means you will be able to benefit from the beginning, even if you are only using them part-time.

We recommend to our customers to start off with 12 - 15 nappies and go from here. This allows you to see what nappies you like, how often you wish to wash and if you want to do this part time or full time.

Buying nappies which are suited to a newborn means you can start right away! Newborn nappies need to be small, easily adjustable and quick drying. Some customers team newborn nappies with larger one-size-fits-most nappies as this gives them a flexible collection of nappies. Having this team of nappies means that these customers don’t have to run the risk of having to wait (weeks or months) before their nappies fit their baby.

You can always start off using cloth nappies part-time and supplement with disposables until you know the nappy which works best with your little baby and your lift style.

Of course, there is no reason for you not to use cloth nappies from the start and we are here to help you find the most workable and economical way for you and your family.

While all our products are carefully examined prior to dispatching, we are only human and sometimes a faulty product may be missed. If you feel that this has occurred, please contact us to arrange a return as soon as you notice the issue.

While we don’t normally offer refunds if you change of mind on purchases, you are welcome to contact our friendly staff, and we’ll take it into consideration a see if we can provide you with other options. Please keep in mind that if we are able to take the product back, then it will need to be in its original, unwashed and unused condition with complete original packaging.
